Paton-Churdan hosted Adair-Casey in a Rolling Hills Activities Conference basketball doubleheader Saturday in Churdan with the teams splitting games. The Class 1A tenth ranked A-C girls won 63-35 while the P-C boys improved to 3-0 on the season with a 51-22 victory. The Rockets made the long trip to Mondamin on Friday night and swept two games from West Harrison before turning home to play on Saturday afternoon.

The Bombers led 14-9 after one quarter, 39-18 at the half, and 57-21 at the end of the third quarter of the girls’ game. P-C (1-2) had 14 points from two-time All-State player Carleigh Paup. Kasey Lane added eight points and 10 rebounds while Sydney Koch had seven points, five rebounds, and four steals.

P-C led the boys game 13-7 after one period and 31-12 at halftime in cruising to the victory. Noah Juergensen had 21 points and eight rebounds. Jake Berns also scored in double figures with 15 points, and Joe Towers added eight. Both Berns and Towers had five rebounds.
