It’s the first road game of the season tonight for the Greene County High School girls’ basketball team. Coach Dean Lyons’ Rams played at home three straight nights to begin the 2015-16 season and have records of 1-2 overall and 1-1 in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play. The Rams are in Jewell tonight vs. South Hamilton at 6 p.m. on KG98 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com with coverage beginning at 5:45 p.m. The Hawks are 0-3 overall and 0-2 in conference games.
Coach Lyons told Raccoon Valley Radio he’s looking forward to seeing his team in action away from the middle school gym in Jefferson. “After three straight home games it’s time for us to play on the road and experience the differences. I’ve seen South Hamilton on film and they’ve had trouble handling the ball and scoring points. We finally got over 40 points the other night, which was enough for us to get our first win. We’ll try to keep things going tonight.”
The Greene County SH boys play after the girls are finished.
