The West Central Valley wrestling team is off to a successful start to the season. Head coach Wayne Gilman says his team has a deficit of small wrestlers, but still performed well at their first triangular of the season, last week. “We have the first four weight classes open and we probably will all season. We have no little guys. We have nobody under 130 pounds. We were still able to beat Nodaway Valley and lost to Guthrie Center by something like 36-30.”

The Wildcats wrestle again at home Thursday night against Panorama and Van Meter.
