Last season, the Guthrie Center Tigers boys basketball team beat West Central Valley in their first meeting of the season and it was the only game they would win all year. This season, the result was the same. The Tigers edged out the Wildcats by a narrow margin of 35-33 Tuesday night.

Guthrie Center’s first-year head coach Jake Mohling is set on his team getting more than one win this season, and they’ll try to pick up an upset when they host Panorama tomorrow night. “They’ve got five or six kids who can all shoot the ball. That will make things tough. We’re really going to have to get out and defend.”
