A Paton-Churdan student won college basketball tickets during Wednesday night’s broadcast for our Caring Christmas Food Drive.
Fourth grader Logan Butler of Churdan won the four-pack of tickets to the Iowa State University men’s basketball game against Baylor on January 9th. P-C partnered with Raccoon Valley Radio to raise food items for the Greene County Action Resource Center. Principal Annie Smith says she’s really proud of her students for helping out those in need this holiday season.
“They also really do from the bottom of their hearts think of others. I know that they really do understand the importance. So it’s really great just to know that we’re building that culture and instilling some of those values inside of the kids to think of others before they think of themselves.”
Students raised over 200 items this year for the local food pantry.
The winner was announced at 209 Main Restaurant in Paton last night.
