The Farm Credit Services office in Perry is getting festive this holiday season and doing so for a good cause.
Appraiser Andrea Tunink says they always try and do something fun around the holiday season but this year they split employees up into five teams and each one designed and decorated a wreath which will be awarded to the highest bidder in a silent auction.
Money collected from the auction will then be split up among food banks in the five area counties they serve.
“We knew that Perry has a food pantry with the school so we wanted to give to that, and then we had hear that Panora also has started a similar program through the school. So we really started focusing on those and found that Perry, Panora and then the Boone schools have a school food bank and then Greene and Madison counties we’ll give to their local food banks as well.”
The auction goes until December 21st and anyone can stop by their office and place a bid.
