Perry High School students invite everyone to come stock up on holiday goodies this weekend.
The Iowa’s Jobs for America’s Graduates, or iJAG, students are hosting their 3rd annual Cookie Walk this Saturday in the high school commons.
iJAG teacher Tina Kenney says the event serves two purposes, raising both funds and awareness.
“When you walk in the door we’ll greet you, offer you a plastic food glove and a bakery box. You just walk around the tables and look over everything and just choose whatever you’d like. Once you choose your selections, some of my students will be there to help you weigh the box and it’s $10 per pound. We’ll decorate it up all cute and talk to you about what our program is all about and some of the things we do for our community and our school.”
The Cookie Walk takes place from 9am until noon Saturday and all proceeds will go to support the iJAG classes.
