Authorities are investigating a burglary at a farm south of Monteith.

According to the Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, the crime took place on Christmas Eve or early Christmas morning at a propery near the intersection of 270th Avenue and Quail Avenue. Suspects in a truck and car are believed to be involved.

Additionally, the Sheriff’s Office says they are investigating the butchering of a cow in a pasture at 320th Avenue and Ranch Trail north of Menlo. The two incidents may be related.
