With all the snow and ice we’ve received over the past 24 hours, area roads are slick.
Adair and Guthrie County Emergency Management Coordinator Bob Kempf says if your vehicle slides into a ditch, it’s safest to stay with your vehicle instead of venturing away to look for help. “If you become stranded, that’s one of the most dangerous situations. It’s better to stay with your vehicle and wait for help. It’s so easy to become disoriented in the winter. If you get out of your car, start walking and the snow starts blowing around, then you can get turned around and be headed in the wrong direction.”
