Tuesday, December 29th
A deputy was dispatched to assist a driver who had driven off the roadway on 130th Street (E18) near Y Avenue after striking a large drift. The deputy assisted until the vehicle was towed.
The Chief Deputy Sheriff checked an abandoned vehicle that had become stuck in a farm field drive on N Avenue near 150th Street.
The Chief Deputy Sheriff was asked to check the welfare of several dogs in the 700 block of Main Street East in Grand Junction. The animals were found to be safe and healthy.
The Chief Deputy Sheriff checked another abandoned vehicle off the roadway on Highway 30 near Pioneer Avenue. The deputy had the vehicle towed from the scene.
An off duty deputy advised the Law Enforcement Center of a vehicle in the ditch at 130th Street and Parkland Avenue. The owner and driver stated that a tow service was contacted.
The Chief Deputy Sheriff contacted the Ames Police Department with possible information on a burglary that occurred in Ames.
The Chief Deputy Sheriff was asked to check the welfare of a female that possibly may be in the Rippey or Jefferson area. The female was not located at that time.
A deputy was advised of the possible theft of a vehicle from Calhoun County.
Wednesday, December 30th
A deputy assisted a Jefferson Police Officer with a reported burglary call in Jefferson.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
