Start 2016 on the right foot to fitness with a free weekend at the Greene County Community Center in Jefferson.

Director Vicky Lautner says from January 2nd and 3rd, anyone can use their facility for free. She adds that this weekend allows other people who don’t normally use the community center to experience what it has to offer.

“I think it’s just a good opportunity for the kids and for adults as well to come in and see what we’re all about. And if they see that they can use a membership and can financially do it, then it’s great.”

Plus, you can sign up for a chance to win a free one-year membership. It can be either one adult or one family membership. Lautner notes that this week is their final push to collect non-perishable food items for the Greene County Action Resource Center. Everyday leading up to January 2nd, bring in at least one food item and you can use the community center for free.
