Guthrie County State Bank is helping to keep area youth warm this holiday season.
The bank recently donated 10 full sets of winter gear to The Children’s Clothes Closet in Panora and New Opportunities in Guthrie Center. The sets include coats, snowpants, mittens, hats, scarves and snow boots. President and CEO Mike Underwood says the bank is always happy to serve the local community. “We take great pride in being very involved in our communities, whether it be through donations or giving time. It’s something that we’ve done ever since I’ve been associated with the bank, and I’m sure well before that.”
Underwood will tell us about their other events this holiday season and give an update on the construction of their new Guthrie Center branch today on Let’s Talk Guthrie County. It airs during the 9 a.m., noon and 5 p.m. hours on K107.9 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
