Area youth will be able to show off their dance moves during halftime of tomorrow night’s West Central Valley home basketball game.
Activities Director Tod Broman says drill team coach Samantha Finneseth will be preparing the young dancers during a workshop tomorrow afternoon at Dexter Elementary. “Coach Finneseth is using this as a way to get some young girls excited about drill team.”
A few hours later, the dancers will be able to show off their new routine, and other student-athletes will be recognized as well. “During the halftime of the girls game, we will start off with a youth drill team performance, followed by introduction of the youth girls basketball teams and their coaches. During the boys halftime, we will have the performance of the Purple Paws high school drill team, followed by the introduction of the boys youth basketball team.”
It all starts at 6 p.m. Thursday night inside the West Central Valley High School gym.
