First responders in Minburn have some new gear to keep them safe.
Thanks to a grant from the Dallas County Foundation and local fundraising efforts, the Minburn Fire Department was able to purchase several pieces of new personal protective equipment recently. The new additions will replace items that were worn or improperly sized to fit the volunteer department’s members. Items that were purchased include firefighting coats, pants, boots, helmets, gloves and hoods.
Rescue Captain Dan Case says the department is always seeking new volunteers and anyone who lives in the Minburn area that is interested in serving as a firefighter or emergency medical services provider can call City Hall at 677-2245.
