State and local law enforcement agencies are seeking an escaped sex offender who was on work release in Guthrie County.

26 year old Ross Clouse was listed as an escaped inmate from Fort Des Moines Friday night, after he never returned to the facility from his job. His GPS bracelet was cut off and found by the Guthrie County Sheriff’s office in a ditch southeast of Guthrie Center.

Clouse was sentenced to ten years in Prison in 2014 after being found guilty of third-degree sexual abuse and indecent contact with a child. He is a registered sex offender requiring special supervision for the rest of his life.

The Guthrie County Sheriff’s office believes he may be in a white 2005 Ford F-150 with license plate number BPN384.
