As we’ve reported, Adair and Guthrie County Emergency Management is once again holding their annual Private Sector Sponsorship Program.

Coordinator Bob Kempf says private sector sponsors help fund many projects for the department, including the state-of-the-art phone application. “We are still the only emergency management agency in the state of Iowa that has their own smartphone mobile application. The free application can be found by searching ‘Adair/Guthrie CO’ on the Google Play Store for Android or the iTunes store. You can get a nice example of emergency information, news and preparedness information from me, road condition reports, radar and weather reports. It’s a one-stop shop for emergency and preparedness information.”
