The ADM boys’ basketball team has been assigned to Class 3A District 15 for the postseason by the Iowa High School Athletic Association. The Tigers are riding an 8-4 record as they head into their second to last non conference match up against Pella tonight starting at 7:30 pm.

The Tigers are one of three Raccoon River Conference teams in Class 3A District 15. ADM currently yields the best record from District 15 with that 8-4 record but they have some pretty tough opponents to match up with. The other two Raccoon River Conference teams in District 15 are Boon at 5-6 and Perry at 6-6. The only non RRC team in district 15 is Dallas Center-Grimes at 7-4. DC-G is the reigning district and sub-state champion, defeating both ADM and Perry so far this year  and will face Boon tonight. The winner of District 15 next month will face off against the winner of District 16 to decide who heads to Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines for the state tournament.

Due to the fact that the IHSAA uses a seeding system for the post season based on the first 15 game results, the exact postseason pairings won’t be known for quite some time.
