CMB (Baxter) is the only team the Greene County Rams had a girl/boy doubleheader sweep against during the first rotation of Heart of Iowa Activities Conference basketball. The Rams will try to sweep the Raiders on the road tonight in Baxter on KG98 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. Coverage begins at 5:45 p.m. with the girls at 6 and the boys to follow.

One of the girls’ teams will break a long losing streak. Greene County is 2-11 overall and 2-7 in the conference and takes a losing streak of nine games to Baxter. CMB is 1-11 overall and 0-10 in the league and has dropped eight games in a row.

On the boys’ side, Greene County is 4-8 on the season and 3-5 in the HOIAC. Coach Jeramie Hinote’s Rams are coming off their most impressive win of the season, 76-54 in Monore vs. PCM last Tuesday. The Raiders are 2-9 overall and 2-7 in conference play.

The Greene County teams return home to the middle school gym in Jefferson on Friday, Jan. 22 to host South Hamilton (Jewell) in a girl/boy twin bill on KG98 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
