As the old adage goes, the best offense is a good defense. Panorama head girls basketball coach Dan Druivenga subscribes to that theory with this year’s young and successful team. “With this young team, defense comes first. We like to generate our offense from defense. We tried pressing Nodaway Valley in the first quarter and we got a few steals, but not enough to expend that much energy. Then, we dropped back into our zone and it’s pretty tough. You have to work pretty hard to get good shots in against our zone.”
The Panthers continue their season when they host Earlham tonight. Tip off scheduled for 6 p.m.
