One person was taken to the hospital Friday evening after being involved in a single vehicle crash near Bouton.

It happened around 6pm near where Highway 141 and Highway 169 meet. Dallas County Sheriff Chad Leonard tells Raccoon Valley Radio it appears that something in the vehicle broke, causing the male driver to lose control, and drive “in to the ditch and roll up his side.”

The driver of the vehicle, who has not yet been identified, was transported to a Des Moines area hospital but the extent of his injuries have not been released.
