St. Patrick’s Students and Staff Celebrate Catholic Schools Week
Today kicks off National Catholic Schools week and St. Patrick’s School in Perry has several things planned to celebrate.
This year’s theme is Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service.
Monday is crazy socks day where students, staff and community members are encouraged to wear crazy socks and donate to the local Clothes Closet.
Tomorrow students will wear their designated class colors. Wednesday there will be a flag raising ceremony and everyone is encouraged to dress in red, white and blue. Thursday there will be a guest speaker and a read and feed event where students can bring a blanket, pillow, healthy snack and water to enjoy as they read together in the gym. Friday there will be a student and staff volleyball game after mass.
Later this week we will hear from several St. Pat’s students as they talk to us about what Catholic education means to them.
