Both ADM squads came off their Saturday losses hungry for a win and last night they played stellar basketball to go 2-0 on the night.

The Lady Tigers played lights out defense, never letting the potent perimeter shooting offense of the Blue Jays get set. ADM did a great job at limiting the Jayetts secondary scorers as Grace Marburger was the only Jayett to hit double digit scoring on the night with 15 points. The Lady Tigers got out to a quick early lead and never looked back as they held a 15-9 lead heading into the second quarter while holding the Perry squad to just three points in the entire second quarter. Sydney Bertman led the Tiger scoring attack for the second straight game as she notched 16 points on the night.  Sydney Canning trailed right behind Bertman with 13 points on the contest.

The boys game was a battle of the two top offenses in the Raccoon River Conference. The Perry Blue Jays marched into Adel last night leading the conference in points per game, rebounds, assists, and FG%. They faced a Tigers squad hungry for another win and just as many thought it would be, the game was certainly a shootout. Tajen Ross and the Tigers traded almost point for point with with Shammond Ivory and the Perry Blue Jays but in the end, it was ADM’s eight last minute free throws that put the game out of reach as ADM beat the Blue Jays 74-68.

With the win the Lady Tigers now improve to 10-8 on the season; 8-3 in the Raccoon River Conference while the boys now improve to 10-7 overall and 8-3 in conference play. Both Tiger squads will be back in action tonight as they face Boon. Girls game is set to tip off at 6:00 pm with the boys game to follow on your home for ADM basketball, K107.9 FM and online at raccoonvalleyradio.com.
