Tomorrow, the small town of Rippey will more than double in size with the 39th annual Bike Ride to Rippey.
Mayor Dan Brubaker says participants and community members can enjoy a potato bar from a local church youth group, along with a beverage garden and walking tacos at the fire station and the Lion’s Club will be serving roast beef sundaes at the community building. Last year, all food and beverage items sold out.
For safety measures, deputies with the Greene County Sheriff’s office and the Iowa State Patrol help direct traffic to keep the bicyclists safe.
The Bike Ride to Rippey starts at the Hotel Pattee in Perry at 7:30am with registration.
