Perry School Board to Meet Tomorrow

The Perry Community School District Board of Education will meet tomorrow night.

The Board will consider for approval a bus purchase, revisions to some board policies, early graduation requests, additional fundraiser requests, renewals for cooperative sponsorships for soccer, bowling and boy’s swimming programs, an assistant coach for the middle and high school cross country teams and an application for the 2016-17 modified supplemental dropout prevention program.

The Board will hold a discussion with the junior class prom committee and they are expected to approve the school budget review committee’s recommendation for the Grandwood Consortium.

The meeting starts at 6pm in the Brady Library at Perry High School.

Dallas County Supervisors Meeting Preview

The Dallas County Board of Supervisors will meet Tuesday.

The Board will consider for approval payroll change notices, an amendment to the financial policy and the first reading to amend the airport ordinance for county code ordinances. The Board will also consider for approval several items for the secondary roads department including a contract with a professional land surveying consultant, a travel request from the engineer’s office and the plans and set a bid letting date for the Federal Emergency Management Agency debris removal project.

The Board will then discuss a sheriff’s vehicle purchase request as well as assigned and unassigned department space needs.

Following a budget workshop, the Board will consider approving a certificate of substantial completion as well as items raised in weekly construction meetings for the human services campus renovation project.

The Board is also expected to make appointments to the board of health, official depositories and an Adams Township Trustee.

The meeting may end in a possible closed session to discuss the purchase of a particular real estate.

The meeting will start at 9am in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in Adel.
