After masterful performances in the Raccoon River Conference tournament, the ADM wrestling team didn’t miss a beat as they entered the postseason. The Tiger wrestling team took the class 2A sectional 11 tournament by storm winning the sectional out right with the final team score of 244.5, 12.5 points ahead of second place Ballard with 232 points. ADM will now travel to Albia for Regional Duals and face off against conference rival Ballard on Tuesday. The host team ADM Tigers not only ended Saturday with the team win but will also be sending 10 wrestlers to the District 6 tournament in Knoxville February 13th.

It only took two time state runner up Zach Johnston (39-3) 33 seconds to take down Bondurant-Farrar’s Jakob Olsen before beating Saydel’s Dylan Coffin for the top spot in the 160 lb weight class. Cole Bennett (28-5, 182 lbs) took down Ballards Will May in 3:40 and Nathan Heath (34-3, 285 lbs) quickly defeated Saydel’s Hunter Jesse  in 31 seconds to help pave the way for 5 first place finishers for the Tigers. One of ADM’s many freshmen phenoms Nolan Harsh (32-13, 113 lbs) and senior Hunter Gibson (36-8, 220 lbs) were ADM’s other two first place winners.
