Panorama-Panthers-Picture11The Panorama Community School District remains involved in a lawsuit with several other school districts in the state against a company they say supplied them with faulty learning tablets.

Superintendent Shawn Holloway says there are many issues with the 560 Kuno tablets leased from Curriculumloft, of Indianapolis, at a cost of $360,000.

Issues with the tablets, according to staff, include a faulty screen, inability to print, difficulties with Java software, charging issues along with other problems.

Holloway says the case is currently in the ‘fact finding’ stage, where both sides are requesting relevant information. He adds that good news for the school districts is that Curriculumloft has insurance to withstand a lawsuit, which he believes is a step in the right direction.

If the case does go to trial, Holloway says it likely wouldn’t happen until January, 2017.
