The late season road swing continues tonight for the Greene County High School varsity basketball teams. The Rams and Panorama were cancelled because of weather on Monday and the non-conference girl/boy doubleheader will not be made up.
The Rams play on Tuesday night and it will be the third straight away from Jefferson for the Greene County teams. This time the Rams play Heart of Iowa Activities Conference opponent Roland-Story in Story City. The regular season ends tonight for Coach Dean Lyons’ girls, but they’ll hit the road again on Saturday, Feb. 13 to open Class 3A Region 8 action in Pocahontas vs. number one rated and undefeated Pocahontas Area at 7 p.m. The Greene County boys close the regular season in Jefferson on Feb. 12 by hosting the PCM Mustangs in the middle school gym. The boys open district tournament play vs. Carroll High in Harlan on Monday, Feb. 22 at 6:30 p.m.
