West Central Valley High School coaches and the Athletic Booster Club have announced a new batch of Athletes of the Week.

Boys basketball player Cody Hansen was nominated by his coaches for displaying tenacious defense on the court.

Girls basketball player Lilly Smithson was nominated for her improved play, particularly in the realm of rebounding and free throws.

Wrestler Tye Joint was nominated by his coaches for recent impressive tournament finishes, including a first place finish at Saturday’s sectional meet at Guthrie Center.

Basketball cheerleader Madison Cox was nominated by her coaches for being a great asset to the group and working hard each practice.

Wrestling cheerleader Olivia Becker was recognized by coaches for overcoming adversity this season and being a great asset to the squad as a freshman.
