The Guthrie Center speech team had a successful trip to the state large group contest on Saturday, February 6th.
Two of the team’s entries received a division 1 rating, including the choral reading group of Joey Spencer, Parker Schwartz, Bailey Waddell, Mariana Leon, Anita Alvarez, Hannah Waddell, Monica Breslin, Tabby Herron, Sam Vannatta, Mikayla Jackson, JoJo Wood, Ross Rumelhart, Justice Baker, Tabby Van Unen and Hunter Vasey. Additionally, the mime group of Stacie Penton, Morgan Vaughan, Mikayla Jackson and Abby Thompson also received a division 1 rating.
The team will compete in the individual district contest at Ames High School on Saturday, February 27th.
