The Greene County 4-H program has a couple of events coming up later this month.
A new member night is scheduled for Friday, February 19th starting at 6pm. It is for anyone interested in joining the 4-H program. Youth and their parents will start at the Greene County Extension office in Jefferson and will end at Spare Time Lanes for free bowling and pizza.
The first round of Food, Safety and Quality Assurance testing will be happening in February. It is for any 4-H’er who will be exhibiting beef, dairy, goat, swine, rabbit or poultry at the Greene County Fair or the Iowa State Fair as they are required to take the class. The first one will be on February 15th from 3-6pm and the second one will be on February 25th.
Call the Extension office with any questions or to sign up for either program at 386-2138.
