The Guthrie Center girls basketball team’s season ended earlier than they would have hoped, falling 54-38 at CAM in the first round of the playoffs. The Tigers kept it close the first half, trailing 19-15 heading into the locker room at halftime, but were unable to make a comeback later on. The Tigers end their season with a record of 4-16, a big improvement from the 0-21 record of last year. The Tigers lose three seniors in Joci Smith, Lydia Blass and Rachel Long but will retain a strong core of younger athletes who will continue to build towards the future.
