Two re-scheduled events are happening tomorrow in Jefferson.
Kids and parents are invited to a special presentation at the children’s department of the library. A new Library Corner features resources from Public Broadcasting Service and the Iowa Public Television Ready for School initiative, to help youth improve their math and literacy skills. There will be a story time with characters from the popular kid’s television program Peg + Cat. The free open house will be from 10 to 11:30am.
Later that day will be the rescheduled Iowa High School Music Association State Jazz Festival at the high school auditorium. Area schools will perform, receive a rating and be critiqued by a judge to improve their overall show for upcoming competitions. Performances begin at 3:30pm, with Greene County’s Jazzatonics to take the stage at 5pm. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for students.
