Paton-Churdan lost to Glidden-Ralston in Glidden on Tuesday night in Class 1A girls’ basketball Region 8 tournament quarterfinal play. The Lady Cats won 45-34 to improve to 20-3 while the Rockets end at 12-10. G-R won all three meetings with the Rockets this season.

G-R started the game with a run of 18 straight points and it was well into the second quarter before P-C scored their first points. The Lady Cats were up 24-9 at the half and 40-27 at the end of the third quarter.

Julia Fleecs led G-R with 29 points. Carleigh Paup overcame early foul trouble to lead P-C with 22.
