Main Street Guthrie Center recently awarded their first-ever business grants.
Director Julie Bailey says the Main Street Board had no tough decisions in deciding businesses to award money to. “Everyone who applied was able to receive one-hundred percent of their request.”
The six businesses awarded funds include Creative Hands Salon receiving $2,908 to repair and upgrade their facilities, $4,000 for the Guthrie Center Area Development Corporation to make their restroom Americans with Disabilities Act compliant, $5,000 for Nine Livez to make major roof repairs, $1,000 for new display systems and electrical work at Art on State and $5,000 for interior renovations at both State Street Insurance and the Prime Time Restaurant. The total amount awarded was $22,908.
