A notice for Scranton residents that 911 service will be temporarily shut down tonight.

The Greene County Sheriff’s office tells Raccoon Valley Radio that 911 service for Scranton residents will be shut down from midnight tonight to 8am Sunday morning. Residents can still call 911 via cellphone and use the non-emergency number from a landline. The non-emergency number is 515-386-2136.
