The Guthrie Center girls track team is returning a strong nucleus of athletes this year. Head coach Dave Spratte says numerous state qualifiers are back on the track and in the field. “We return Rachel Rumelhart, who is one of the top hurdlers in Class 1A. Jen Foentes is back from our 4×100 relay. She is a strong, senior sprinter. Mady Smith is a good hurdler as a sophomore and in the 4×100 relay. Rachel Long made state in shot put a couple of years ago and we hope she can get back there.”

This is the Tigerettes’ first full week of practice.
