An Illinois woman was recently sentenced in Greene County District Court after pleading guilty to a charge from a May 2015 incident.
According to court documents, 22 year-old Allison Tucker received a deferred judgement after she pled guilty to an aggravated misdemeanor for child endangerment. She was sentenced to two years of probation and ordered to pay over $1,000 in court costs, attorney fees and victim restitution.
The charge stems from an incident on May 31st when Tucker allegedly stole a two and four year-old from a residence in Jefferson, triggering an Amber Alert. After three hours of searching, authorities found the individuals in a hotel in Des Moines. The children were unharmed. She was originally charged with felonies for child stealing, but the charges were amended due to a plea deal.
