While most area track teams are just getting started with their season, the West Central Valley girls team is just a few days away from two indoor meets. Activities Director Tod Broman says the team will travel to northeast Iowa early next week for back-to-back competitions, beginning Monday. “That day, they will be traveling up to Cedar Falls to participate in UNI’s indoor track meet which begins at 3 p.m., then on Tuesday they will travel up to Waverly to participate in Wartburg Colleges’ meet which begins at 2:30 p.m.”
Additionally, head coach Michael Vokes told the School Board at a recent meeting that his team will meet with 2015 West Central Valley graduate and current Wartburg College track star Olivia McAtee to learn more about the life of a college student-athlete.
