Some Xenia Rural Water District customers in Dallas County are urged to boil their tap water before using it.
A boil advisory is in effect for those who reside in the general area north of Dallas Center, east of Minburn, south of Highway 141 and west of W Avenue.
A water main break Wednesday resulted in a loss of water pressure and potential increase of bacteria. Once water service is restored, the District will test the water to ensure it is safe for consumption.
Until then, all water should be boiled for at least one minute and cooled before being used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth or food preparation.
Raccoon Valley Radio will let you know when the boil advisory has been lifted.
