The Perry Bluejay basketball team’s most successful season in decades came to an end after the first round of the state tournament Tuesday.

A sea of blue headed to the Wells Fargo Arena to cheer on the Bluejays but the second seeded Pella Dutch defeated Perry by a score of 54 to 94.  The 2015-2016 season was the first time Perry advanced to the state tournament since 1988 and the end the season with a record of 15 and 10.
