The Dallas County Auditor’s office is looking for additional people who are interested in working with them on election day.
Precinct election official coordinator Julia Helm says it takes a lot of people to make the process go smoothly.
“We got a great group from the caucus. We need, for to run an efficient election, at least 200 workers and we always have a pool but we’re always looking for new people to get more involved.”
Precinct workers are compensated at $9 per hour, plus mileage, and there are a variety of tasks that are available to assist with.
A second orientation for new workers will be held on April 7th at 10:30am or 6pm at the County’s training facility in Adel.
