The Greene County High School track & field squads will be taking part in the ISU Classic high school meets next week in Ames on the Iowa State University campus inside the Lied Center. The girls compete on Monday, March 14 and the boys go on Tuesday, March 15. Kelly Simpson is the head girls’ coach for the Rams and Dean Lansman is the boys’ head coach.

Coach Simpson talks about the meet. “We went back to this meet last year. We usually do the indoor meet up at BV (Buena Vista in Storm Lake), but because of our Spring Break and Spanish trip, that’s going to create some conflicts, so we’ll just go to Iowa State this year, then kind of get ready for our home meet.”

The Rams host the Greene County Early Bird Coed Meet on Monday, March 28 at Linduska Field in Jefferson to begin the outdoor season.
