The Jefferson City Council met last night in regular session.
The Council approved the 2017 fiscal year budget following the public hearing with an additional review of the golf course budget later. The tax levy decreased by four cents to $15.22 per $1,000 valuation. The Council also approved hiring Shane Jones as a police patrolman with an annual salary of $38,552, waiving the building permit fee of $615 for the Greene County Fair Association for a building on the fairgrounds and the third reading to amend the City’s floodplain ordinance.
Finally, the Council approved the third change order to Hydro Klean of $7,422.21, along with the fourth pay estimate of $7,051.10 also to Hydro Klean for the 2015 Grimmell Road lift station project.
