A new piece of technology at Adair County Memorial Hospital will allow for safer and more convenient conditions for patients.

The hospital recently upgraded to a 64 slice CT scan machine, which uses x-rays to create a detailed image of soft tissue, bones and blood vessels in the same image.

The new equipment will allow for decreased waiting times, quick studies, less patient time on the table and decreased radiation exposure.

Hospital officials say the new addition shows their commitment to bringing state-of-the-art quality healthcare to the community.
