As the presidential race continues to heat up, Iowa’s Third District United States Congressman David Young is sharing his thoughts on who the next Commander in Chief should be.

Young tells Raccoon Valley Radio that he hasn’t endorsed any candidate, though he does have a checklist of traits he wants to see in the next president. “I am looking for a leader. We need somebody who will lead America, because that is part of what we ask for in a President. They need to be able to show the world that America can lead. I want a President who respects and understands the rule of law in the Constitution and understands where our laws come from and that is God, not man.”

Young says the national issues he hears most from constituents include national and border security, terrorism and constitutional liberty.
