We will lose an hour of sleep this weekend when daylight saving time begins.
Time will officially jump ahead an hour at 2am Sunday, March 13th. Those who have manually set clocks in their home, office, vehicles or on their wrist are reminded to set them ahead before going to sleep Saturday to avoid being late Sunday.
The time change also signifies a good time to check and change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors to make sure they are working properly in case of an emergency.
