With ADM’s first team all Raccoon River Conference selections in Molly Jacobsen and Sydney Bertman honored and analyzed, it’s now time to turn to the other two ADM Lady Tigers who earned all conference honors.
Both Brianna Mueller, who earned second team all conference, and Sydney Canney, who earned honorable mention, were undoubtedly very valuable pieces to the success of the 2015-16 Lady Tiger team. Both also earned high praise from ADM girls head basketball coach Corey Schneider.
Some could say that one of the best aspects of senior Brianna Mueller would be her consistency. Mueller has been a steady starter for the Lady Tigers and earned her fourth straight all conference selection in four years. As coach Schneider told Raccoon Valley Radio however, one of the things he will remember most about Mueller was her ability to adapt and be a team player.
“The most impressive thing about her was to see just how her role changed. She was the main focal point and she’s adapted to Molly (Jacobsen) and Sydney Bertman but she never complained and just did what was best for the team. The willingness to do what’s best for the team is something I’ll definitely remember about her,” stated coach Schneider.
Sophomore Sydney Canney also received some high praise from coach Schneider about her defensive play this season.
“Defensively she was a huge presence for us, her on ball defense was phenomenal,” explained coach Schneider.
Both players helped ADM advance through the playoffs just one game shy of the state tournament.
