Road construction season is starting this week in Dallas County.

The County secondary roads department has closed 128^th Place from Highway 169 to Bouton until further notice due to a frost boil.  Only local and emergency traffic is allowed.

In addition, starting tomorrow the Iowa Department of Transportation will be closing a portion of Highway 169.  Drivers should expect single lane traffic alternating directions between Highway 141 and County Road E57 near Bouton.  A width limit of 17 feet is also in effect until April 18^th.

Finally, the westbound lanes of Highway 141 are also reduced to one lane between Highway 210 and County Road R30 due to bridge construction work.  A width limit of 17 feet is also in place and construction is expected to continue until April 18^th.
