Former Perry Jayette basketball player Maggie Lowe received valuable playing experience this past season in her freshman campaign at Wayne State College. Lowe, a sports management major,  logged roughly 9 minutes per contest, averaging around 2 points and 1 assists per game. Maggie was a four year starter in basketball and volleyball for the Jayettes, also running three years in track and playing one year of softball. She was also named All-State and Academic All-Conference as a senior.

The Wildcats compete at the Division 2 level in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. They were eliminated in the quarterfinals of their conference tournament by Northern State University.
