The Lady Tiger track team will be competing in their final indoor track meet of the season today when they head to Central College for a 10:00 am meet in Pella.

Despite this being the last indoor meet of the season, girls head track coach Bart Mueller views today’s meet similar to the Iowa State meet on Monday, with a little extra practice before they hit the outdoor season March 28th.

“It will be a similar purpose as the meet the other night (at Iowa State). The indoor meets I view as a chance to see where we’re at and give some of the younger girls some experience. They’re not really high pressure meets so I’m looking for the girls to drop a little in their times and improve their performances,” explained coach Mueller.

Coach Mueller did state that this meet will have a little more importance as the Tigers will have more depth due to spring break returners.

“I’ll have some girls back that haven’t ran yet due to spring break. We have quite a few girls running tomorrow; the nice thing about the meet tomorrow is that they let the JV athletes run so we’ll get pretty much every one who can run in a couple of events,” stated coach Mueller.
